Lakin Wecker

Principal Scientist

As Co-founder and Principal Scientist at BigGeo, Lakin Wecker plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of geospatial big data processing and efficient geospatial data architectures. His expertise in harnessing complex data sets to drive innovative solutions. He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Calgary and is nearing the completion of his Ph.D.Lakin's academic and research pursuits, focusing on Digital Earth, Geometric Modeling, and Computer Graphics, have been instrumental in his contributions at BigGeo. By promoting a culture of innovation and learning Lakin extends his influence beyond BigGeo, aiming to foster positive change in Calgary's tech community through a commitment to lifelong learning, teaching, and dedication to sharing his knowledge with those around him.
